Human Resources Officer – Malawi Revenue Authority

FUNCTION / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counselling on HR policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting adverts and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective on-boarding plans
  • Preparing and maintaining personnel records and ensuring that all employee files contain relevant documentation
  • Ensuring that HR matters and files are treated in the strictest confidence
  • Assist in performance management processes and maintaining records on the same
  • Administration and tracking of Leave;
  • Participating in HR Projects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have the following qualifications, experience and skills: –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration, Public Administration
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of SAP-HR/HCM; and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
  • Should have at least 2 years’ HR work related experience in a busy office
